ITA Airways
ITA Airways is the successor of Alitalia and has been active since November 2020. The new airline flies to more than 60 destinations, and will expand its operations to over 74 long-haul destinations and 89 routes by 2025. Through its network, ITA Airways connects a large number of Italian cities with the main European capitals and international destinations.
ITA Airways aims at creating an efficient and innovative air carrier. Investing in sustainability and new technologies are two of the most important cornerstones of the new airline. In addition, ITA Airways will place the best customer service at the centre of its strategy, guaranteeing passengers a travel experience of the highest quality.
Those traveling with ITA Airways in Economy class on the new A330 aircrafts enjoy an individual 9-inch entertainment screen, giving access to an extensive range of music, films, etc. Depending on the flight duration, the airline serves a cold or hot meal and/or various snacks.
On long-haul flights you can boost your comfort by opting for Economy plus. In this special, quiet cabin, your ergonomic seat offers up to 40% more space compared to an economy seat, and you can bring extra luggage (2 pieces of luggage of 23 kg). Your entertainment screen also gets an upgrade to 10.6 inches.
Travellers flying Superior class can enjoy many advantages on domestic flights in Italy. The adjacent seat is left free so you can do your very best work or simply relax and enjoy the flight. In addition to the traditional options of hot and cold drinks, Superior Class also offers either an Italian breakfast with warm baked goods, a selection of biscuits and savoury snacks during the day, or in the evening an aperitif with sparkling wine and finger food.
In Business class, ITA Airways serves travelers a culinary experience on long-haul flights as a tribute to Italian gastronomy. The leather seats recline up to 180° and have a fully horizontal bed position and a massage function. On the A330 fleet, you can enjoy a 15,4” personal screen, with a vast library of movies, games, music and TV programs. Business class passengers also receive an amenity kit from Salvatore Ferragamo, including the eau de Parfum Tuscan Creations Bianco by Carrara, cocoa butter, body cream and other useful accessories.
ITA Airways focusses its business on the Rome Fiumicino hub, where it positions itself as the reference airline for business and leisure traffic. In the coming years, the company aims at expanding and renewing its fleet, leading to an environmental-friendly fleet that includes leading-edge technologies which will optimize efficiency and quality of service and significantly reduce the environmental impact.
By the end of 2025, the fleet will consist of 105 aircrafts (23 wide body and 82 narrow body), including 81 of the latest generation aircrafts (75% of the total fleet).
